I've been doing this a long time. Thirty-five years or more. Starting back in Chicago in the late 60's at a funky little coffee house called THE NO EXIT CAFE. Existentially speaking that should have told me something right there. After spending some time in the Bahamas and Key West Florida in 1970 I settled in Pittsburgh and have been working as a singer songwriter/troubadour under the nom de plume Frenchy Burrito. Why that name? Well, why not? The name has opened more doors than it's closed. So to keep this short, I spent 20 years as a solo Folksinger, and had a band here and there along the way. I made some recordings that wound up as independent releases. Made some music videos that aired on national TV. Organized a series of Benefits for RINBOW KITCHEN in Homestead, PA Made a PSA for THE SALVATION ARMY about the homeless (which I'm very proud of) that aired internationally and I appeared in a TONY BUBA film, NO PETS which made it to the LONDON FILM FESTIVAL. Wait there's more - I appeared on the Commander USA show and recorded for Fast Folk Musical Magazine in NYC. That takes us up to the late 1980's. Getting tired of performing alone, I started the Folk Pistols in 1994 and ran hard with it til' 1999. Released a CDSTRANGE PAINTto favorable reviews. It found its way into book stores, record stores, RADIO, you know the places. We got a lot of airplay in Europe and some across the USA and played a lot of gigs. Ever since then it's been break time for me. Time to rest and regroup for the next phase. Which is where I'm at right now, working on the next release. While your waiting for me to get it together here's a recentINTERNET REVIEW that I got a mention in for a movie I got some songs in and an INTERNET PRESS ARTICLE for a recent show I did. AND CD PRESS.
